Calvin Kong Physics Tuition Classes

As every learner is unique, an effective curriculum is one that differentiates teaching to cater to the broad spectrum of students, monitors their progress closely, and provides timely feedback. This is why class size does matter.

Regular Class (Sec/IP 3 & Sec/IP 4)

Calvin Kong has created a comprehensive set of learning resources that covers the entire syllabus, that can be used to compliment, enhance or even replace what a student already had received from their own schools. In these classes, he will teach the content in detail and push for subject mastery through carefully selected examination questions (from Papers 1 and 2), in the process propelling students to their maximum potential.

Revision Class (Sec/IP 3 & Sec/IP 4)

Every chapter comprises of about 2 to 3 Focuses. Through years of interaction and experience with students, I have noted down the main challenges that they face in mastering them. The answer lies in getting the Key Concepts right. If the Focuses are like doors, then the Key Concepts are the keys to unlock them.

Read more here.

This Revision Course is intended to hand the keys to the students.

In each lesson, I will

  1. revision the key concepts,

  2. go through examples in detail and

  3. allow students to apply this key concepts through carefully selected examination questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. My child will not be able to make it for certain dates. Will there be more of such classes?

Yes, the next series of Revision Classes will be during the June Holidays.

  2. Why are there 2 classes arranged on the same day? Will the student be overloaded and not be able to pay attention?

The classes are arranged in this manner so that it minimises travelling time. This is in response to feedback by numerous students who travelled a long distance to the centre venue.

A 1-hour lunch break will allow students to refresh themselves. The Clementi Mall is just a minute walk away.

Students who prefer classes on separate days can still do so because the same class will be conducted twice. FFor example, students can go for the combination of 1
A 2A (classes on same day) or combination of 1A 2B (classes on different days).

  3. Does a student still need to sign up for this Revision Classes if he/she signs up for the Regular Classes?

The Revision Classes and Regular Classes are independent. The Revision Classes revisits and rebuilds concepts while the regular classes will soon start on higher order questions.
